About the Movie:

Great adventure for all ages

"This movie is great for all ages. It has a great cast and the story is very entertaining. It's encouraging to see a young girl (Abigail Breslin)who knows enough about the natural world, which she learned from her marine biologist father (Gerard Butler), to be able to take care of herself. She has some great friends on their island in the South Pacific: a seal, a pelican and a lizard. She and her father love to read "Alex Rover" adventure stories which are written by Alexandra Rover (Jodie Foster). Unlike Nim and her father, and even her story's lead character, Alex Rover, Alexandra can't manage very much on her own and she is agoraphobic to boot. Jodie Foster's performance is wonderful. Her character is hysterical."
