About the movie:

Tonight on Road to the Runway: You will join Tim Gunn on his cross-country search for a new group of America's next great fashion designers. Out of the thousands that auditioned, fifteen will be selected to compete for a chance to show their collection at Olympus Fashion Week. We will also see some familiar faces as we check in to see how some of the designers are doing from previous seasons since leaving the runway.

02.Challenge: Wall to Wall Fashion
Heidi later interrupts the gathering to make an announcement. She informs the designers that their first challenge is to make a design using the materials from their apartments. The designers erupt with excitement. Tim Gunn goes on to explain that the challenge is all about innovation and no materials in their apartments are off limits. Heidi adds that the designer who touches the item first, gets it. She then announces that they have 15 minutes to collect their materials and the clock starts ticking.

The designers are told that the next Challenge will be to create a dress for an American Beauty. Miss USA, Tara Conner, is revealed - and it's also announced that she will wear the winning design in the next Miss Universe pageant. Designers pitch their vision to Conner, seven finalists then lead the design and the seven remaining designers pair off with team leaders to create the garments. Conner chooses the winner, and the second contestant is eliminated by the judges.
