"I love Stargate and was thrilled when this came out. I watched it with my dad and while he's not a die hard Stargate fan, he liked it too. I read a review about the movie that said it was confusing but I don't really think it was. The flashbacks to Ancients at the beginning was slightly perplexing. Personally, I think that you could watch this movie and follow it without having watched the show first. Of course fans of the show will appreciate certain things more--references to previous episodes. Also I hear that Stargate: The Continuum is coming out at the end of July. Richard Dean Anderson is supposed to be in that one--I can't wait! Hope you enjoy the movie!"
